DUJUD Selected for Starlink Mobile User Terminal Proposal
The United States Special Operations command (SOCOM) has selected DUJUD to demonstrate their Starlink mobile user terminal design proposal to enable man-portable Starlink terminals. Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites offer the next generation of high speed internet that can actually achieve a *world wide* web. However, current user terminals used by Starlink are costly, prone to lose connection, power hungry, and large. The design proposed by DUJUD vastly increases the link budget and scan angle of the array, enabling best in class size, weight, and power (SWaP) to maintain a reliable link in a smaller, more power efficient, portable design.
